How are y'all doing?
A few weeks of remaining holiday stretches in front of us with no idea how to
make use of them. I hope you have plans,
because free time is one of two : great treasure of a grave peril to mankind.
“It’s what you do in
your free time that will set you free—or enslave you."
― Jarod Kintz, This Book Title
is Invisible
But I'm not here to
ramble about time (though it's about time someone should). I am here to share a little bit of what I do
with my time.
Trying out new
stuff, getting my hands on something I thought impossible, mostly something I
like.
My cousin used this
recipe successfully and all I did was follow through.

FRUIT TART!!
- easy peasy lemon squeezy...Be sure to give 'em a try
Before that, u gonna
need some utensils:
Tart tins or tray,
whichever you may have
It doesn't really
matter how they look like, as long as it has that heavenly taste when you pop
one in your mouth, that's more than enough.
If you don't have
weighing scale don't fret because you can always convert to cups measurements -
come on, everyone's got a cup in their kitchen, right?

Ok, I did make my own pastry cream, though. Melt 4 tbs (or more, use your taste bud) sugar in 1 cup of milk, inside a pot on low fire. While waiting for it to become bubbly/frothy, mix well 4 tbs of custard powder in 1/4 cup milk (not the hot one, either room temperature or cold). Pour the dissolved custard into the pot of sweetened milk, and keep the fire on low, stir well, until it thickens. It'll take a while, so please resist the urge to add more custard since that will turn it into horrid solid yellow stuff. Oh, and add some vanilla too.
If you have excess
tart shells, and wanted to do something a little bit different, here's an idea:
Strawberry/
blueberry cheese tart
Chocolate ganache
(fancy name prffftt - basically tart filled with molten chocolate with butter
and whipping cream - like ones you do for almond london - and pop a few
strawberries in..simple and yummy)
The more fruit the merrier (and healthier ^_^)
Strawberry cheese tart (strawberries are cheaper now)
Chocolate strawberry tart
